UNIT DESCRIPTOR:
This unit deals with the skills and knowledge required to conduct the inspection and per-operation tests, positioning, setting up and operation of elevating work platforms in accordance with AS 1418 and AS 2550 part 10
PRE-REQUISITES:
Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Applicants must be able to read and comprehend english.
COURSE CONTENT:
The Elevated Work Platform Training Plan is based on the Unit of Competency TLILIC2005A- Licence to operate a boom-type Elevated Work platform (boom length 11metres or more) within the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) and Safe Work Ausralia Assessment Instrument
Legislation in the Workplace - OSH Acts and regulations, Specific regulations dealing with cranes and AS1418 and AS2550 part 10, National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work. - Boom Type Elevating work Platforms Competency Units.
Plan Work - Elevating Work Platform type and reach requirements, job requirements, priorities, Workplace Rules and Procedures, identifying hazards and hazard control measures, communication and emergency procedures.
Boom-Type/Elevating Work Platform Operation - Pre-start/Pre-operation checks, set-up outriggers/stabilizers, Load Chart interpretation, AS 2550.10 - Cranes Safe Use - Elevated Work Platforms.
CERTIFICATION:
A statement of attainment for module TLILIC2005A will be issued upon successful completion of the course in addition to a WorkSafe 60 day interim notice of assessment.

2 days
